What This Sign Means
Merge signs appear where an entrance ramp or lane joins the main road. Traffic already on the main road has the right-of-way, but courteous drivers adjust to let merging vehicles in.

If you're merging: accelerate to match traffic speed, signal, and blend into a gap — don't stop on the ramp unless absolutely necessary. If you're on the highway: adjust speed or change lanes to help mergers.
